Computing
At Bletchingley Village Primary School and Nursery, our aim is to empower children with the essential computing skills, knowledge, and understanding needed to navigate and excel in an increasingly digital world. Drawing inspiration from a high-quality, practical curriculum, we provide creative projects that foster a progressive development of skills across three core strands: Computer Science, Digital Literacy, and Information Technology.

Through a spiral curriculum, our pupils regularly revisit and reinforce key concepts—ranging from programming and networking to mastering media creation like film, sound, and word processing. We place a significant emphasis on Online Safety, delivered through weekly assemblies to ensure our children become responsible, active participants in society. By the end of Key Stage 2, we intend for every child to possess the technical fluency and confidence required for secondary school and their future lives.
