The School Day

A Typical Day in Badger and Rabbit Class

Although no two days are the same at nursery, here is an example of what might happen…

  • 9.00am The children arrive and register.
  • 9.00am – 11.30am The children can choose from a wide selection of activities both indoors and outside. This includes an adult led activity that we have planned based around the children’s interests and learning needs - including topic, numbers, early phonics, cooking, gardening, music and arts & crafts.
  • 10.30am The children sit together for snack time where they can enjoy a drink of milk or water and choose from a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.
  • 11.40am The children sit together for carpet time where they join in with stories and songs before getting ready to go home.
  • 12 noon The morning children go home.
  • 12 noon - 1.00pm Lunch time.  Children can have a packed lunch from home or enjoy a hot school dinner and then have time to play inside or outside.
  • 1.00pm - 2.30pm The children can choose from a wide selection of activities both indoors and outside.  They have a snack time where they can enjoy a drink of milk or water and choose from a selection of fresh fruit and vegetables.
  • 2.30pm The children help to tidy up before sitting together for carpet time where they join in with stories and songs before getting ready to go home.
  • 3.00pm The children go home.
