House Teams

Upon entering the school, each child is placed in a team which is based on the four patron saints of the United Kingdom (Saint Andrew – Blue, Saint David – Yellow, Saint George – Red and Saint Patrick – Green).  From Nursery to Year 6, the children work together to try and earn “Team Points”, hoping to be the overall winners in the school.

Team points can be earnt by:

  • Working really hard
  • Trying something new
  • Being resilient
  • Making a good choice
  • Handing homework in
  • Holding the door open
  • Completing a helpful job
  • Thinking outside the box
  • Offering to help or work with someone
  • Sports Day events

The possibilities are endless!

Sometimes the children work in teams for different events, like Sports Day, group presentations, or the Inter-house competitions and this all gets added together towards their grand total!

Every week, the team points are collected and totalled. The team with the most team points get to have their “colours” tied onto the Team Trophy. This happens in our Well Done Wednesday Assembly.

Every half term, the team with the most collected points are rewarded with an extra break time on the first Friday back! They also get to wear a t-shirt with their Team Colours.

At the end of each year a prize is awarded to the team with the most points.
