Headteacher Update

As we come to the end of another busy and successful term, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our parents and carers for your continued support throughout the year. Your encouragement, involvement and partnership with the school make a real difference to our children’s learning and wellbeing.

I would also like to express my thanks to all of our staff for their dedication, professionalism and hard work this term. Their commitment ensures that our school continues to be a positive, caring and inspiring place for the children. Thank you also to the PTA for their fundraising this term.

We would like to thank everyone who came along to the DT Christmas sale. We hope you enjoyed it and hope you liked the children's designs.

I would like to wish all of our families a very happy, peaceful and restful Christmas break, and a healthy New Year.

School will reopen on Tuesday 7 January 2026.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the New Year.

Denise Coady

Staying Safe Online During the Holidays

With the holidays approaching, many children will have increased access to devices and online activities. This is a great opportunity for families to talk about online safety. We encourage parents to remind children not to share personal information, to be respectful and kind when interacting online, and to speak to a trusted adult if they see or experience anything that makes them uncomfortable. Setting clear screen time boundaries and checking privacy settings together can help ensure online time remains safe, balanced, and enjoyable over the holiday period.

Dear Parents,

If you have a child in nursery or who are Pre School age, we would like to remind you that the closing date to apply for your reception place is the 15th January 2026.

We recommend online applications via https://www.eadmissions.org.uk/eAdmissions/app. If there is a valid reason why parents cannot apply online, they can obtain a paper application by calling us on 0300 200 1004. Completed paper application forms must be emailed to  schooladmissions@surreycc.gov.uk or posted to the team with a postmark no later than 14 January 2026. We strongly recommend that parents send postal applications by recorded delivery as we are unable to confirm receipt.

Parents can also call 0300 200 1004 for impartial help in completing an application. Full information is available on Surrey's website at www.surreycc.gov.uk/primaryadmissions.

Applications received after the closing date without good reason will be treated as late and will not be considered until all on-time applications have been processed. This may jeopardise the chance of a parent being offered one of their preferred schools for their child. We will only consider an application as on time if it has been made late, if there is a genuine reason why the application could not reasonably have been made before the closing date.

If the child lives in another local authority, the parent must apply to that authority, ie their home local authority, even if they wish to name Surrey schools.  If they know they will be moving in the future, they should still apply by 15 January to their home local authority at that time and then notify that authority of the move.

More information on this is available on our website.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01483 404858

Count Down to Christmas and Help Families in need

This Christmas, Loveworks (a local food bank charity), is asking everyone to take part in their Reverse Advent Calendar. The calendar is a simple and meaningful way to make a difference in our community.

Instead of opening a door and taking out a treat each day, they are asking you to give one. Each day of Advent, place an item, such as a tin of soup or jar of pasta sauce into a box at home. By Christmas, you’ll have created a wonderful parcel of essentials that can help a local family or individual in need. Your parcel can then be delivered to a Loveworks donation point in the New Year.

For more information and to download your Reverse Advent Calendar follow this link Reverse Advent Calendar
